
Colson Baker(born April 22nd, 1990) who is known professionally as Machine Gun Kelly (MGK), is an American rapper, singer actor, songwriter, and songwriter. His genre duality in hip-hop and alternative rock is what earned him fame. The mixtapes he released were four between 2007 and the year 2010, after which he signed with Bad Boy Records. In 2012 his album Lace Up, his first studio album. It peaked at number four in the US Billboard 200. It contained his breakthrough single "Wild Boy" and was performed by Waka Flame. General Admission (2015) and Bloom (2016) were both commercially successful. The latter contained the single "Bad Things" featuring Camila Cabello, which peaked at number 4 on Billboard's Hot 100. The fourth album, Hotel Diablo (2018) was a rap-oriented album. Machine Gun Kelly's fifth album Tickets to My Downfall was released in 2020. This album marked an unorthodox departure from hip hop , and was a step into the world of pop punk. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, the only rock album to achieve that in the year it was released, and featured the hit single "My Ex's Best Friend", which reached number 20 on the Hot 100. It was followed up by the Mainstream Sellout (2022) and also saw him attain the same commercial success. Since then, he has been seen in the suspense film Nerve (2016), the horror Bird Box (2018) and the comedy Big Time Adolescence and the biopic The Dirt (both 2019).
