Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd started her combat sports career at the age of fourteen. Aspen Ladd was trained in BJJ, kickboxing, boxing, and wrestling prior to her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC aged 18. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and went on a 3-fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents in the opening round in each fight. Aspen returned to WCFC for the purpose of defeating Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous verdict. Aspen won over Silvia B beghian and Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was superior to Aspen in the fight, beating her by unanimous vote. Cynthia's amateur records were marred. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n' Uff and improved her record for amateurs to 8-1. Aspen became a professional in 2015. She joined Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta eleven saw Aspen dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score TKO victory in the opening round. She won her next fight against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission and went up to Bantamweight for her next fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen utilized the skills she had learned in wrestling to beat McGill. She ended her fight via TKO (3rd round) (elbows, punches). Aspen next faced Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) in a "catchweight"(138.1lb) as Ladd was unable to put on weight. Aspen, however, beat Hoy with a TKO. At Invicta FC21, she was the last bout in the organization. The winner was Sijara Ebanks in a unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She was a step ahead of Lina and pounded her with a ground-and-pound to pick up a second-round TKO victory. Her next fight, against Tonya EVINGER at UFC 229, her victory was even more impressive. Ladd defeated Evinger by a punch in the opening round, and earned a performance of the night bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes was in the UFC's Fight Night dos anjos-lee rematch with Sijara's Eubanks, was the first fight she's had in a major capacity. The two fights were an intense fight which Ladd beat by a unanimous decision. Both fighters were awarded their Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie put an end to Ladd's winning streak in just 16 seconds. in the 3rd round on UFC at ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. As a last-minute replacement for her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. She lost the fight via majority decision.
