Despacito by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi, and Daddy Yankee became the song that was streamed the most in less than six months. It was a mixture of reggaeton, pop and rock did not just bring interest to reggaeton, but also drew interest to Latin music generally. In Billboard's Top 100 in 2015 had two songs that were mostly Spanish language, while the year 2016 featured four. However, during the heights of Despacito's fame in 2017, there were 19 mainly Spanish songs that were included in the Top 100. And in 2020 it was 41. Justin Bieber's remix in two languages Despacito was released in 2017. Soon after, famous artists began collaborating with reggaeton artists. Drake collaborated with Bad Bunny to create MIA (2018) in addition to Madonna worked with Maluma to create Medellin. Certain reggaeton performers have criticized the shift to popular music by 2020. But a newly formed group called Rauw Alejandro was determined to keep the growth and evolution of reggaeton. He used elements from other styles and electronic music.
